Castle Courtyard - 1 Viewing The Open area of the castle. Along the walls were small buildings for storage purposes, shelters for animals and humans. Also in the courtyard were haystacks, a well, an orchard and a garden; some fruit trees were scattered about. Also the kitchen and the smithy are located there to lessen the risk of a possible fire. |
